Owner representation
The objective is simple. Technical work is carried out correctly, transparently and in accordance with the agreed specification, independently of the manufacturer, the shipyard or the contractor.
The commercial point
A yard's project manager is measured on delivery and margin. Neither of those is the same as the vessel being right. Independent supervision means the person checking the work is not the person invoicing for it, which changes what gets reported and when.
From specification to acceptance
Attendance runs from specification review through the work itself to final acceptance, with progress documented as it happens rather than reconstructed at handover. Punch lists are closed against evidence.
